An opportunity has become available for an Accountant to join the Finance team based at Gloucester. Supporting the finance and payroll processes, internal and external compliance and tax requirements of the overall Darchem business and working as a business partner for the Gloucester Business Unit. The position will offer the opportunity to work with the business unit management team, including management reporting, supporting costing reviews, forecasting and budgeting as well as opportunity to help improve processes and controls. The three business units each have a financial accountant and across these accountants cover central tasks for the Darchem Company. Such tasks are shared out as approptiate to cover all core funtions for example, payments signoff, Fixed Assets, Tax including Employment, VAT, CIS etc. Stat Accounts, Internal and External Audits, Financial Statements to name a few About the role Produce Gloucester Financial Reports including assist Business Units with Costings, Forecasts and Budgeting and other reporting requirements Key member of the Gloucester Business unit Management team to support and help improve the business performance Support Month end accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, inventory, accruals, prepayments, journal postings, data compilation and analysis Support Internal and External Audit including implementing and enhancing controls for SOX, UK GAAP and Tax Compliance. Working to enhance current controls.
