We are currently seeking a full-time Broker to help continue build out of our offering within Structured Risk. The successful candidate will work across both Property and Casualty (Re)Insurance lines and will support an existing team that handles an existing portfolio of material sized placements.
We expect the candidate to be involved in business planning and will look for them to work with the existing team to help continue shaping an overall Global Strategy for group. The remit is broad and will span across both Insurance and Reinsurance Lines of Business covering Large and Complex single risk, Facilities and Reinsurance (Proportional, and Non-Proportional).
The Role
1. Ability to understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues.
2. Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the (re) insurance market as part of a team.
3. Prepare client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability.
4. Help arrange and participate in marketing meetings. client roadshows, virtual meetings etc.
5. Help prepare and check market presentations and client documentation as appropriate.
6. Assist the team with ongoing development, maintenance, and co-ordination around pipeline prospects – accurately maintaining WTW CRM & RAFT systems in order to assist with Business Planning and Forecasting.
7. Assist with the loading of data into the relevant WTW Systems.
8. Work with Client Relationship Directors, Account Executives, Brokers, Sales, Marketing, and the Structured Risk team in determining appropriate solutions and structuring and pricing of placements.
9. Identify appropriate markets and assist the team with determining placing strategy.
10. Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international re(insurance) markets.
11. Participate in information gathering exercises and ad-hoc market analysis.
12. Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.
13. Understand, apply and where necessary explain WTW policies and procedures.
14. Ensure good relationships and communication with other WTW colleagues.
15. A thorough understanding and an expert real time user for all relevant systems.
