We have an exciting opportunity for aInpatient SeniorNurseto join ourInpatientteam atHMP Thameside, acategoryBPrison located in Greenwich, South-East London.

The Inpatient unit has 18 beds and provides 24-hour care to patients with mixture of mental and physical health needs.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

Monday to Sunday

Days: 7.00 - 19:30

Nights: 19:00 - 07:30
You will be working on a 4 week rolling rota, including some weekends and nights.

Salary

This position isfull time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to£53,172per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As an Inpatient SeniorNurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

* Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
* Deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework

Requirements

* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse
* Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Understanding of mental health policy including clinical governance and the quality and
outcomes framework, along with national standards such as NICE

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
