Overview
This is an exciting field-based opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our Electrical / LEV division here at Allianz, a division of one of the largest insurers and financial services companies in the world.
Responsibilities
* Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as Offices, Factories, Quarries and their associated Electrical apparatus.
* Examination of LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods, and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes.
* This is a remote role when not on customer sites.
Salary Information
Starting salary £44,213 per year. Salary is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline.
* Effective at short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
* Able to travel effectively within their local allocated work area.
* Able to process documentation, as well as undertaking general administration.
* A good team player, for example deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required.
Essential Skills
* Electrical surveyors require a practical background in low voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding. (Not Electronics) This would include factories, houses, shops etc.
* Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
* Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations.
* UK Driver’s License.
* Aptitude and understanding of the need for planning and an ability to prioritise your own workload.
* Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
