Military Injury Claims
Leeds (Full-Time, Permanent)
Infinitek is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK law firm based in Leeds City Centre. We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer with expertise in military injury claims to join a high-profile team. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex and politically sensitive cases while contributing to meaningful outcomes for service personnel and veterans.
You will work on a diverse caseload including claims for defective equipment, training injuries, cold injuries, assaults, bullying/harassment, discrimination, noise-induced hearing loss, and applications under the Armed Forces Compensation and Pension Schemes. The role is ideal for legal professionals with 35 years PQE who have experience in military claims and understand the nuances of litigation against the Ministry of Defence.
Key Responsibilities of Personal Injury Solicitor / CILEx Lawyer:
Manage your own caseload of military personal injury claims with supervision.
Handle matters from initial client instruction through to completion, including document preparation, filing, billing, and archiving.
Support colleagues across the personal injury department where needed.
Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, other solicitors, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships and business connections.
Candidate Requirements:
35 years PQE in personal injury, ideally with military claims experience.
Experience acting for service personnel and veterans in complex litigation, including County Court, High Court, and tribunals.
Strong knowledge of the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme, Pension Schemes, and Service Complaints System.
Excellent client care skills, professional, approachable, and empathetic.
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex case evidence.
Confident oral and written communication; able to present and argue cases effectively.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise under pressure.
Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
