Connex Education is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant position at a pupil referral unit in the Teesside area. The role involves supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 students who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. This is a full-time opportunity specifically designed for candidates based in Teesside or surrounding areas. The position requires working with vulnerable young people who have special educational needs and disabilities, providing crucial support to help prevent educational exclusion. About the School/Organisation:As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support children with learning difficulties functioning below age expectations, including SEMH needs. The role involves working with pupils using EHCPs to help them achieve their educational goals while preventing mainstream school exclusion. Candidates must be hardworking, resilient, and passionate about transforming children's lives. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support vulnerable young people with special educational needs during critical educational stages. Assignment Details:
The full-time Monday-Friday role starts September 2025, supporting pupils using EHCPs to achieve their educational goals and prevent mainstream exclusion.
