Salary: £ £30000 per annum negotiable depending on experience +

We're looking for a motivated and versatile Production Operator to join our
Production Department. In this hands-on role, you'll operate our brand-new, four-station flexographic label printing press (with adhesive coating head), as well as slitting and spooling machines, helping us deliver high-quality products while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities
Printing press:
1. Set up and run jobs accurately and efficiently on the press as instructed to
ensure maximum productivity and minimum waste.
1. Ensure that the Work Instructions provided are correct and followed with an
excellent attention to detail.
1. Set the controls on the press as defined in the Work Description.
2. Take responsibility for all consumables, including safe storage of all adhesive,
inks and chemicals and proper disposal of any waste.
1. Record details of work done into the computer database as required.
2. Operate the spooling machines efficiently and skilfully and in line with the
Company's Quality and H&S procedures.
Slitting and spooling machines:
1. Set the controls on the machines as defined in the Work Instructions, including
setting of the machine controls and accurately setting of the Knife Box. Use
appropriate measuring equipment to check settings are in specification.
1. Liaise with others to ensure that there is an adequate supply of raw material
ready and available in advance of scheduled jobs. This can include master
rolls, cores, boxes and other materials, as specified.
1. Pro-active approach to ensuring that the equipment runs smoothly at all times;
observe the process, identify and rectify any issues that may arise, assess and
evaluate root cause and use problem-solving skills to correct problems.
1. Work closely with the Team and share knowledge regularly to continually
improve existing processes.
1. Report any hazards, quality and H&S matters directly to the HSEQ Advisor or
the Production Manager.
