Responsibilities:
As a Leasehold Accounts Officer, you will:
Manage a portfolio of leaseholders, collecting service and major works charges.
Ensure accurate service charge account balances and prepare monthly performance reports.
Liaise with mortgage lenders and initiate legal proceedings when necessary.
Provide expert advice to leaseholders on payment methods and welfare benefits.
Attend court when required to enforce judgments.
Maintain accurate leaseholder records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience in a challenging collections environment.
Proven ability to work in a performance-driven setting.
Knowledge of the legal proceedings process in the County Court.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Good numeracy and intermediate IT skills.
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Familiarity with lease terms and the rights of freeholders and leaseholders.
Understanding of the welfare and benefits system.
Experience advising on debt management and related organisations.
