Overview
A female personal assistant is required to help a lady living in the HU6 area. The person enjoys dominoes, jigsaws, watching soaps and shopping. We are seeking someone who is enthusiastic, respectful, reliable and flexible. The role supports the lady to maintain personal independence using a powered wheelchair and transfer by hoist. The assistant will help ensure safety and provide support on trips away from home, including hospital/doctor visits, podiatry, shopping and meals out.
Responsibilities
* Personal care as required
* Medication administration
* Appropriate meal preparation and support with eating and drinking
* General household duties including cleaning and laundry
* Support with safety and independence during outings and appointments
* Care during night shifts as part of a flexible team schedule
* Support with transfers and use of a powered wheelchair and hoist as needed
Requirements / Qualifications
* Training will be provided; experience is not essential
* Non-smoker and car driver preferred
* Successful applicant will be employed subject to a DBS check
* There is a genuine occupational requirement for a FEMALE worker, therefore only FEMALE applications will be considered (exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
