A client within the Public Sector based in Northamptonshire is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority property/estates environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to visit council-owned properties and gather detailed building and asset information to support the Council’s property data collection and asset management processes.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Visiting NNC owned properties to collect accurate building and asset information.
• Recording details such as construction type, approximate age, Gross Internal Floor Area (GIFA), roof type, and fire sprinkler system details including make and model.
• Using a tablet with an electronic data sheet to complete information for each site.
• Sending all collected data back to the office promptly.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Experience as a Building Surveyor or similar property/estates role.
• Ability to work independently, visiting multiple sites and accurately collecting technical property data.
• Proficiency using electronic data collection tools or tablets.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Knowledge of property construction, asset management, and building systems.
• Previous experience working within a local authority or public sector environment.
• Good attention to detail and reporting skills.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £38 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35 (approx. £30 per hour PAYE).
