Overview
Methods Great Malvern, United Kingdom. This role is for an IT Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Azure Stack Hub environment, as well as the physical networking and cabling that underpins data centers. You will work with cloud architects and system administrators to ensure seamless integration and performance across cloud and on-premise systems.

Responsibilities
* Azure Management: oversee deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Azure resources; integrate and manage services like Entra Governance; monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize hybrid cloud performance; implement security measures and ensure compliance.
* Physical Network Setup: rack and stack servers, switches, and hardware for Azure and on‑prem environments; pull, terminate, and test network cabling (CAT6, fiber); manage power distribution, cooling, and physical security in data centers.
* Infrastructure Support: collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, and security teams; provide hands-on support during upgrades, migrations, and deployments; troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues.
* Documentation and Compliance: maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud and on‑prem components; ensure configurations comply with security policies and regulations.
* Project Involvement: participate in hybrid cloud projects, including expanding Azure Stack Hub; liaise with vendors and contractors for successful project delivery.
Qualifications
* Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and managing private-cloud solutions across multiple sites; understanding of RPO/RTO and on‑premise backups.
* Experience with traffic management and networking in secure private-cloud environments; understanding of hardware redundancy and high availability; ability to monitor and optimize private-cloud performance.
* Security experience aligned with best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance; ability to implement and document security measures.
* Proficiency with Windows Server administration; ability to maintain documentation and support data center operations.
* Certifications (nice to have): AZ-400, AZ-800, Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Server+ (not essential).

Security clearance
