Role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Account Manager, with a technical bias, to join our commercial team. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing and developing relationships with our most valued customers while also identifying and delivering business growth through new opportunity development in varied markets. You’ll work closely with internal sales, customer service and technical support teams to deliver exceptional service and strategic account development. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring strong commercial insight, technical understanding, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop strong relationships with new and existing clients to understand their needs and challenges. Prepare and deliver accurate technical proposals, quotations, and product documentation. Conduct regular meetings (virtual and in-person) with clients and prospects, producing detailed reports for management. Track and report on account performance, identifying variances, risks, and growth opportunities. Support internal teams with technical queries, account management, and strategic sales input. Develop and maintain a high-value opportunity pipeline using the CRM system. Support the preparation of estimates and ensure quotes align with customer needs and internal cost strategies. Contribute to sales forecasts, pricing reviews, and commercial reporting. Identify and nurture new business opportunities, particularly within varied markets. Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure best-fit solutions for clients. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in account management within a technical or manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative and customer-focused approach. Comfortable interpreting technical specifications and supporting estimating processes. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Confident with CRM systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A commercially driven mindset with the ability to analyse data and make strategic decisions. Positive, adaptable, and proactive in managing workload and customer relationships.
