Your Duties: Cleansing and Waste Collection Duties: Safely collect and transport waste, inspecting for contamination and reporting non-compliance. Maintain cleanliness in work areas, handling waste containers with care. Operate and maintain equipment, reporting any issues or defects promptly. Assist with sweeping, bin cleaning, and seasonal tasks. Gardening and Grounds Maintenance Duties: Plant and maintain greenery in parks, public spaces, and along roadways. Use and care for gardening tools to complete horticultural projects and help with pest control. Maintain sports facilities, ensuring public safety and enjoyment. General Maintenance and Support Duties: Support staff by maintaining grounds, buildings, and public areas. Use communication tools (radios, digital devices) to coordinate tasks and share information. Follow all safety guidelines, promptly reporting any incidents. Perform additional tasks as required to uphold council standards and ensure a safe environment. Your Profile: Essential Criteria: Applicants must have at least six months relevant experience in: Cleaning outdoor areas and performing gardening tasks (e.g., grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting). Interacting with the public effectively and courteously. Understanding health and safety protocols, including safe use of machinery, PPE, and Manual Handling practices. Your Benefits: £13.05 per hour. Pension contributions. Additional Information: Full time, Temporary. Locations across Belfast. 37 hours per week.
