I Wonder What’s Next is a fast-growing e-commerce business specialising in food, household and pet products. The company processes high-volume online orders and has recently moved into a brand-new warehouse as part of an exciting growth phase.
Dispatch is central to the business, and the new Dispatch Manager will play a key part in improving structure, efficiency and team performance as order volumes increase.
The Role of a Dispatch Manager
We are recruiting a hands-on Dispatch Manager to take ownership of the pick, pack and dispatch operation while managing a small warehouse team.
This role will initially involve a blend of operational and supervisory work, transitioning into a more strategic management position as the business scales and the team grows.
Key Responsibilities of a Dispatch Manager
* Manage daily pick, pack and dispatch operations
* Lead and supervise a small warehouse/dispatch team
* Ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on time
* Maintain high standards of productivity, organisation and safety
* Improve processes and workflows as volumes increase
* Work closely with directors to support operational growth
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in a Dispatch Manager, Warehouse Manager or Team Leader role
* Background in e-commerce, fulfilment or high-volume order processing
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Hands-on, organised and accountable
* Confident managing people and performance
* Looking for long-term progression within a growing SME
Salary & Working Hours
* Salary: ÂŁ38,000
* Bonus: Available after successful 6-month probation
* Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday initially
* Weekend working introduced as the operation grows (approx. 1 in 2 weekends, with time off in lieu)
