Larimar Ward is a 15‑bedded female acute ward based at Ardenleigh Hospital in Erdington. Please note we are not a part of the Secure & Complex Care Service.
The successful candidate will join an established, hardworking team and gain a comprehensive understanding of the Occupational Therapy Acute and Urgent Care Pathway. You will receive direct clinical supervision from a nominated Lead Occupational Therapist and have opportunities for development and training.
Responsibilities
* Work as a core member of the multidisciplinary ward‑based team.
* Work flexibly, where appropriate, to provide OT cover in the absence of Occupational Therapy across the Acute & Urgent Care Service.
* Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
* Provide leadership and line management duties to Band 5 OT and OT Assistant(s), providing guidance, supervision and appraisal, as well as a programme of in‑patient based interventions.
* Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence‑based/client‑centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in a range of settings and facilitating discharges.
* Maintain multidisciplinary clinical records.
