Department Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team

Location County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight and agile working

Casual contract to cover leave or peaks in referrals

We are looking for a flexible and experienced Casual Occupational Health Advisor to join our team on an as-needed basis. About the Role

As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will:

* Support occupational health policies and practices.
* Work with internal stakeholders to promote a healthy workplace.
* Triage management referrals
* Manage a caseload of occupational health assessments.
* Provide expert advice on workplace adjustments and health interventions.
* Offer specialist guidance on medical matters and the Equality Act.
* Maintain accurate health records
* Prepare professional reports.
* Attend meetings to provide occupational health expertise.
* Deliver health surveillance and immunisation programmes.
* Contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives.


About you

* Registered Nurse ideally with relevant occupational health qualifications.
* Experience in occupational health case management and health surveillance.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to varying workloads.
* Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
