Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with our client for the recruitment of a Head of Casework on a full-time, permanent basis. The organisation is an independent, non-statutory body that regulates fundraising across the charitable sector in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The organisation owns the Code of Fundraising Practice which also applies in Scotland where separate arrangements apply for charitable fundraising.

Role Overview
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Casework is a member of the Senior Management Team and will report directly to the Board and the Complaints and Investigations Committee regarding the casework function. The Head of Casework will have responsibility for the casework function at the organisation overseeing formal investigations and compliance cases opened as a result of concerns identified about charitable fundraising in line with the standards in the Code of Fundraising Practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the further development of systems and processes and ensure the team remain engaged, accountable and high performing.
* Build and maintain strong relationships and work closely with other Regulators and key stakeholders, as well as representing the organisation at external events.
* Lead and manage the casework team in a complex decision-making environment where cases may fall within or outside the organisation’s remit, making decisions without legal precedent.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced senior leader with substantial experience managing and leading teams in a casework or similar operational environment.
* Comfortable making complex decisions in the absence of legal precedent.
