Commercial Disputes Associate – England & Wales Qualified (4+ PQE)
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland (Hybrid working available)
Work on national and international cases with a leading disputes team.
About the Role
Join a market-leading disputes team advising on complex, high-profile litigation and arbitration matters. The role focuses on English law work, including High Court litigation and international arbitration, while being based in Scotland. You’ll handle substantial disputes, draft court and arbitration documents, and work directly with major clients across sectors such as TMT, financial services, energy, and life sciences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage complex disputes under partner supervision
2. Prepare pleadings, instructions to counsel, and other legal documents
3. Provide practical, commercial advice throughout the dispute resolution process
4. Support business development and build client relationships
About You
5. England & Wales qualified solicitor with 4+ years PQE
6. Strong experience in litigation, arbitration, and ADR
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
8. Background in a firm recognised for general disputes work
(Scotland qualification is beneficial but not essential.)
