In return you will be awarded a competitive salary, variety within your role, the ability to build upon your existing experience within the profession and the opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive team.Key responsibilities:We are currently seeking applications for Gully Tanker Driver/Boom Arm Operator to carry out drain cleaning of sewers and storm drain operations working for McQuillan Outdoor and will be based in Lisburn. Their primary responsibility will be driving the tanker vehicle and secondary to this will be operating a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains, ensuring they remain unblocked. This job is physically demanding due to the frequent lifting of drain covers.The job role also requires the candidate to work in all weather conditions (suitable PPE to be provided by the employer prior the commencement of the given role).Essential Criteria:Valid Class 2 driver license with CPC and Digi Card in dateStrong communication skills to interact with customers, members of the public and other team members effectivelyExcellent time management skills to meet deadlinesFollowing all traffic laws and regulations while drivingConducting daily pre-start inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any maintenance issuesMaintaining accurate records of work carried outAdhering to the Companys policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and delivery protocolsAvailability for early morning starts based on operational needsDesirable criteria:Experience in operating a commercial vehicle such as Jetvac or tankerCSR card in dateExperience in traffic management proceduresExperience in high pressure water jetting, manual handling, first aid and reversing assistant/banksman dutiesClosing date for applications is:Friday 29th May 2026.This job description should not be regarded as conclusive or definite.
