Job Description
3. Develop and execute the trading strategy for the business.
4. Analyse market trends to identify business opportunities and improve performance.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise product assortment and pricing strategies.
6. Ensure effective stock management and inventory control.
7. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to assess trading performance.
8. Lead and mentor a team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
9. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Trading Director should have:
10. Proven expertise in the retail industry, specifically within fashion.
11. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
12. Experience at Merchandising Director or Trading Director level.
13. Ideally Board level exposure.
14. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
15. Comprehensive knowledge of trading and inventory management processes.
16. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
