Qualifications
Compliance
8. Ensure the warehouse department is adhering to all compliance/regulations
9. Ensure the warehouse department is adhering to all company procedures
10. Ensure KPI targets are exceeded and corrective action is taken in a timely manner where required
11. Overall responsibility for departmental HSQE ensuring issues are managed through to correction
12. Ensure stock checks are completed accurately and on time
13. Ensure all audit results are within agreed targets
14. Ensure all orders are processed to the correct specifications
15. Ensure MHE is managed effectively and in line with legislation
16. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is applied at all times
Personnel
17. Line management responsibility for Warehouse Team Leaders, Stock Controller, Export Controller and Customer Team Member.
18. Manage successful recruitment/induction/training of new starters
19. Conduct exit interviews with all leavers and complete relevant documentation
20. Develop the warehouse team to a high level of competency identifying development and succession opportunities for team members
21. Ensure formal personal development reviews are undertaken bi-annually with regular 1-1 meetings
22. Ensure employee performance is managed utilising all business tools available
23. Manage Trade Union relationships within the warehouse department
24. Complete disciplinary/grievance investigations/meetings as and when required
25. Provide support and cover for the DC Manager as and when required
Continuous Improvement
26. Support the DC Manager to identify areas of opportunity/improvement within the warehouse department/DC
27. Ensure a standard approach to best practice across all sites
28. Drive the continuous improvement agenda for the warehouse department
29. Directly manage the plan and execution of any warehouse related projects
30. Encourage the generation of continuous improvement ideas within the warehouse team
31. Ensure all systems especially iWMS are working efficiently and future improvements are identified.
Customer Service
32. Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner
33. Ensure on time and in full targets are exceeded
34. Effectively manage supplier/customer relationships in line with business standards
35. Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Cost
36. Manage departmental budget in line with targets and account for any differences
37. Drive cost saving initiatives within the warehouse department
