Job Summary:
• We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planner/Scheduler to support operational housing services.
• This temporary position plays a key role in ensuring efficient scheduling of housing repair and maintenance works, enabling seamless service delivery to residents.
• The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid working environment and demonstrate excellent communication and planning abilities.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Schedule and allocate jobs for housing repair and maintenance teams, ensuring maximum efficiency.
• Liaise with operatives, residents, and contractors to confirm appointments and manage changes or cancellations.
• Monitor job progress, ensuring works are completed on time and within service standards.
• Update internal systems accurately with job details, progress notes, and scheduling amendments.
• Respond to queries from residents and staff regarding repairs and appointments in a professional and timely manner.
• Use housing and scheduling software systems to track workload and prioritise urgent requests.
• Coordinate closely with supervisors and team leaders to plan daily workloads and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
• Assist with producing reports on team performance, missed appointments, and service delivery.
• Maintain excellent customer service and communication throughout the scheduling process.
• Support administrative functions as required within the housing operations team.
Skills/Experience:
• Proven experience in a planning, scheduling, or administrative coordination role – ideally within a housing, repairs, or facilities management setting.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands.
• Proficiency in using scheduling or housing management software and Microsoft Office.
• Confident working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience handling sensitive or confidential data in line with GDPR.
Additional Information:
• The closing date: 02/10/2025.
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00).
