Learning Advocates
Location: Uxbridge/Hayes Salary: £24,922 to £27,131 36 or 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - pro rata for part time post Posts to start September 2026 PostType: Full Time Term Time We are seeking to appoint full time or part time Learning Advocates, to suport learners with their GCSE and Functional English and maths, on a one-to-one or small group basis. You would support students both inside and outside of their classes, working closely with the English and Maths teams and vocational curriculum staff. This will involve planning support sessions and providing regular feedback to supported learners to enable them to develop confidence and make progress in their English and maths classes.
You will need to have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills, and preferably have some experience of supporting young people with literacy/numeracy needs in an educational environment. You will have good communication skills, be well-organised and be able to motivate and build good working relationships with young people. This could be an ideal role for someone considering a first step into teaching.
