Drainage Engineer Location: Northumberland Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (DOE) Hours of work: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend with the option of overtime.) About the Role: We're looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our client's field-based team. This hands-on role involves working across the UK to carry out drainage investigations, identify issues, and provide repair recommendations. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem-solver with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex drainage challenges. Experience Required: Conduct site-based drainage investigations and produce repair recommendations. Operate High Pressure Water Jetting equipment to clear below-ground blockages. Complete accurate and detailed CCTV surveys in line with WRC Defect Grading & Guidelines. Use CAT/GENIE and Sonar tracing equipment to map and trace underground drainage systems. Perform reinstatement works on various domestic surfaces (e.g. paving slabs, block paving). Provide outstanding customer service by clearly communicating findings and ensuring a positive customer experience.What We're Looking For: Proven experience in drainage investigation and clearance. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with CCTV drainage reporting and tracing equipment. Confidence in customer interactions and service delivery. Full UK driving licence (required). Relevant industry certifications/training (advantageous but not essential). A good understanding of modern technology used in drainage diagnostics.
