This is a great opportunity to build your skills in community nursing while supporting people to stay well at home.


You’ll work within an integrated team that provides safe, person‑centred care to people with a wide range of health needs. You’ll be part of a supportive group of colleagues who work closely with other health and social care partners to offer joined‑up care.




Main duties of the job

What you’ll do:

* Deliver high‑quality, holistic nursing care to people in their own homes
* Work closely with Registered Nurses and wider professionals to plan and review care
* Carry out clinical tasks in line with your Nursing Associate training
* Build strong, trusting relationships with people, their families and carers
* Keep accurate records using our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system

What we’re looking for:

* A qualified Nursing Associate with current registration
* Someone who can work well within a team and use their own initiative
* Clear communication skills and a caring, professional approach
* Willingness to learn, with full training and support provided
* Ability to travel within the local area using suitable transport

Qualifications


Essential criteria

* Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
* Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent


Knowledge


Essential criteria

* Have an understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate and how the role can contribute to service development
* Understands and acts in accordance with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code
* Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to appropriate professional for expert help and advice
* Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
* Understands the requirement for NMC professional Revalidation
* Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans


Experience


Essential criteria

* Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice where appropriate
* Experience of providing and receiving complex and sensitive information
