Job Title: Operations LEAN Manager Location: Salford, Manchester Contract: 18‑Month Fixed Term Contract Salary: Competitive salary, car, bonus and excellent benefits package We are seeking an experienced Operational LEAN Manager to lead and deliver a series of improvement initiatives identified through our Value Stream Analysis (VSA). This role is central to our ongoing transformation programme and will work closely with the Site LEAN Project Manager to ensure alignment, compliance, and the successful implementation of best‑practice processes.
This position does not include line management responsibility but requires strong influencing skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
About the Role The Operational LEAN Manager will be responsible for driving operational improvements across the site.
You will analyse current processes, identify barriers to performance, and implement solutions that improve efficiency, quality and compliance.
Operating in a regulated environment, you will support continuous improvement activities while ensuring all changes align with GMP and MHRA requirements.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate operational efficiency projects, prioritising those identified in the VSA. Identify, analyse and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Ensure all initiatives align with the site's LEAN programme and wider business objectives.
Support Kaizen events and other continuous improvement activities.
Analyse operational data to inform decision-making and performance tracking.
Contribute to reports for the SGP PMO. Work closely with production, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure all process changes meet compliance standards.
Facilitate cross‑functional engagement and act as a subject matter expert on operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience Strong background in operational excellence, Lean methodology, or continuous improvement.
Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, contract manufacturing, or automotive.
Practical experience with VSA, Kaizen, and similar improvement tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Demonstrated experience delivering efficiency or Lean transformation projects within a GMP-regulated environment.
