We are seeking a full-time SENCO & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for an immediate start at a primary school in Hillingdon. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS scale + SEN Allowance 2 .
The Role
* Leading and managing SEND provision across the school to ensure all pupils receive the support they need
* Coordinating and implementing EHCPs, interventions, and support strategies for children with additional needs
* Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection
* Working closely with teachers, support staff, external agencies, and parents to provide an inclusive learning environment
* Delivering staff training and professional development on SEND and safeguarding best practices
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the NASENCO qualification (essential)
* Proven experience working as a SENCO in a primary setting
* Strong understanding of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and inclusive teaching strategies
* Experience in safeguarding and child protection, with a strong ability to handle sensitive situations
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
