Accounts Assistant
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing distribution business based in Andover. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
* Multiple bank reconciliations in multi currencies
* Maintaining nominal ledgers on Xero
* Management accounts preparation with accruals, prepayments, and depreciation journals
* Posting and management of stock purchases
* Goods in transit
* Oversee Credit control with intervention where required
* Managing the integration of the stock control system to Xero with monthly COS adjustments, stock write-off, etc.
* Bank payments and payment run preparation
* Weekly Cash flow forecasting and management
* VAT return preparation, with PVA statements, adjustments
* Payroll preparation from start to finish and submission to HMRC
* Pension submissions and management via payroll and portal
* Annual accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants
* Interaction with HMRC
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years within an accounts position
* Previous experience within an SME
* Strong knowledge of Xero
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Accountancy qualification at AAT level or above
The Accounts Assistant position:
* Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
* Salary between £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
