About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Technology Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to drive architecture decisions that support digital transformation, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement end‑to‑end architecture solutions that integrate our core systems with other enterprise systems.
* Define technical standards, best practices, and governance for architecture across platforms.
* Lead the assessment of current systems and recommend improvements or modernisation strategies.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (development, security, operations, and business teams) to ensure alignment between technology and business goals.
* Provide guidance on broking systems, API integration, security protocols, and user experience across platforms.
* Translate business requirements into well‑architected solutions.
* Ensure platform scalability, maintainability, and high performance in cloud‑based and hybrid environments.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies relevant to insurance.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Technology Architect, Solutions Architect, or in a senior technical leadership role.
* Deep hands‑on knowledge of Acturis – workflows, integrations, customisations, and configuration.
* Experience designing and implementing integrations (e.g., via APIs, middleware).
* Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
* Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure) and modern architectural patterns (microservices, event‑driven design).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, monitoring, containerisation).
* Experience in Salesforce.
* Experience of Mulesoft.
* Experience in the insurance or brokerage industry. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to insurance platforms and customer data.
Desirable
* London Market broker experience.
* Experience in product management and managing product managers/project owners.
* Experience of working with/leading teams including developers and support analysts.
* Directing large‑scale transformation programmes including target operating model, merger & acquisition, platform change and enterprise systems.
* Experience of implementing / migrating Acturis and Salesforce, and data transformation programmes.
* Formal certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PROSCI, or ITIL.
