Band 5/6 Dependent On Experience 37.5 hours per week An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our friendly team within a specialised Vascular Unit. The Vascular Studies Unit provides a comprehensive range of non-invasive investigations, including Duplex ultrasound scanning, to support the diagnosis and management of patients with vascular disease across Northamptonshire. Applicants for the Trainee Clinical Vascular Scientist post must hold a science-based degree at 2:1 or above. You should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, good hand–eye coordination, and the ability to work both independently and effectively within a small team. You will receive full training and support across all areas of vascular ultrasound and will be expected to work towards accreditation with the College and the Society for Vascular Science. A formal career progression pathway is available for the successful candidate The post holder will work as a member of the Vascular Studies Unit team helping to deliver a high-quality county wide Northamptonshire Vascular Diagnostic Service, maximising patient care and safety at all times. Will autonomously perform, interpret and report specialised vascular ultrasound examinations and blood flow measurements to the Trust county wide, in order to aid diagnosis of patients with suspected circulatory disorders. Will continually develop knowledge and practice in the field of Vascular Technology and undertake clinical supervision of others in their training.
