Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Part time Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lewes, a category B men's prison.
This site has both a pharmacy and dispenser with a strong, integrated team and due to growth looking for more Technicians. The site offers opportunities for learning and development and career progression including ACPT training. Great opportunity for overtime which is paid at the bank rate.

Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £33,454 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality based patient-centred care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysis of cost-effective prescribing as defined through our Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
