Job purpose
We are a small team of 5 engineers working within a larger software and IT department of approximately 43 people, so we still have the feeling of working for a small company. IT is a core part of GMSL’s business. We work closely with our software teams on our SaaS and B2B messaging solutions as well as supporting the day-to-day networking and systems you’d expect to find in most organisations. We use a wide range of technologies across both On-Prem and Cloud environments to develop solutions for the business. GMSL’s clients tend to be large companies so you will find we have much more IT than a normal company our size. Our IT Engineers are multi-skilled in areas such as networking, servers, database platforms and there is always opportunity to learn. Our work can vary in size from large engineering projects to providing responses to customer support cases escalated from the helpdesk. We also provide 24/7/365 out-of-hours cover on a 1-week-in-4 rota to ensure business continuity.
