WGM Engineering, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis. This hybrid role is based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a typical split between home and office working. *About the Role*
The overall purpose of the role is to provide commercial support across all business streams concerning financial and contractual matters arising through the management of various contracts and projects. Offering support to the business streams you will provide advice to allow projects to be delivered on time and to budget. You will liaise with clients and external parties on commercial issues such as contract agreement of variations, claims and payments. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide commercial support across all business streams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Administer contracts and subcontracts, including tendering, certification of payment applications and preparation of valuations.
* Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts and monitor expenditure against budget.
* Minimise project costs while maximising value without compromising quality.
* Manage change control processes, including compiling compensation event costs
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
*Person Specification*
* Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within engineering or construction.
* Demonstrable expertise in cost control, value recovery and change management.
* Strong understanding of contract documents, scopes of work and drawings
* Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across multiple project teams.
* Highly organised with an ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
