Job Overview
The core purpose of the Cancer Audit Administrator is to be involved with the collection, validation and submission of multiple audit submissions. As a member of the Cancer Services team, you will work closely with clinical staff, secretaries, MDT coordinators and the wider Cancer Services team.
Main Duties
* Responsible for inputting and validating complex clinical data for allocated registries and maintaining data security.
* Assist with other cancer‑related audit projects as required.
* Support the MDTs in their collection of COSD and other national audit data and the modification of local databases to ensure they continue to meet the requirements of regional and national bodies.
* Provide tumour‑specific information in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with mandatory agreed definitions, targets, and policies.
* Adhere to the local policy for the transfer of waiting times data; liaise with other Trusts to ensure complete patient records.
* Work with clinicians and nurses to collect the minimum datasets and audit the processes and outcomes of cancer care for designated tumour sites.
* Act as a named contact for designated national audit projects.
* Maintain confidentiality of all audit information according to local guidelines.
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of data to the Cancer MDT and Performance Manager.
Person Specification
Education/Training/Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent as a minimum requirement.
Work Experience
* Experience of data entry.
* Experience of using Microsoft packages.
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience of working in a medical environment.
* Experience of Cancer Services.
