Boots UK – Nottingham, England, United Kingdom. Join to apply for the Safety Advisor role at Boots UK. Based in the Nottingham Support Office you’ll be part of a small team but work with business partners across all product classifications and business functions. This role is within the In-Market Vigilance (IMV) Team, which sits within Quality & Technical Services. The role provides essential support to the Safety Manager for Healthcare and Deputy Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) in keeping allocated areas of the product safety systems compliant with regulatory requirements across multiple product legal classifications.

Key responsibilities
* Liaise with Boots customers, store Pharmacists and healthcare professionals as part of the company’s end-to-end post-market surveillance requirements.
* Prepare and maintain allocated parts of the Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal procedures.
* Review and evaluate literature, Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and regulatory intelligence.
* Author and manage schedule for signal detection reports and Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs).
* Provide Product Enquiry service for products under the Healthcare portfolio, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
* Support the QPPV and Deputy QPPV in delivery of technical training on product safety processes to the wider business.
What you'll need to have
* Ideally you will have experience in pharmacovigilance and/or product safety in the pharmaceutical industry, or be a science graduate with an interest in this area.
* Excellent knowledge of IT systems and solutions.
* Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to communicate technical information clearly to a wide audience.
* Ability to work at pace with a collaborative style and strong teamwork and partnering skills to build relationships with internal and external contacts and technical experts.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort with daily interaction with Boots customers.
Nice to have
* Experience working with drug safety systems and regulatory authority databases.
* Strong knowledge of Good Vigilance Practice (GvP) and Medical Device (MD) vigilance requirements.
