Junior Delegated Authority Analyst

London | Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days remote)


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Delegated Authority Analyst to join a growing specialty insurance organisation. In this role, you will support the governance and administration of delegated underwriting and claims authorities, working closely with underwriters, brokers, coverholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.


This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and an interest in delegated authority and governance within the London market.


About the Team

The Governance & Delegated Underwriting team provides centralised oversight and administrative support to underwriting and claims teams. Working across multiple specialty lines, the team manages delegated authorities, due diligence, bordereaux, compliance checks, audits, and management reporting. You’ll work with stakeholders such as Compliance, Legal, Wordings, Finance, Actuarial, and Operations while building relationships with coverholders and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the day-to-day management of delegated underwriting and claims authorities, ensuring compliance with internal standards, Lloyd’s requirements, and other regulatory obligations.
* Assist in the processing of new and renewal delegated authorities through internal workflow systems, including due diligence and sign-off checks.
* Liaise with underwriters, claims teams, brokers, and coverholders to support onboarding and renewal requirements.
* Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Wordings, Governance, Actuarial, Finance, and Operations to ensure correct processes and reporting.
* Collaborate with the audit team to address and escalate any unresolved issues or findings.
* Contribute to management reporting and MI for internal stakeholders.
* Identify and escalate breaches or concerns where necessary.


Technical Skills & Experience

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
* Previous experience within the insurance or Lloyd’s market is advantageous.
* Knowledge or interest in delegated authority operations is desirable.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
