Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family Contact Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting families and ensuring the well-being of children during supervised contact sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Childcare, or a related field - Essential.
* Previous experience working with children and families in a similar role - Essential.
* Strong observational and report-writing skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
* Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate and supervise contact sessions between children and their families in a safe and supportive environment.
* Ensure that contact sessions are conducted in accordance with court orders and safeguarding policies.
* Observe and record interactions during contact sessions, providing detailed and accurate reports.
* Work collaboratively with social workers, family members, and other professionals to support the needs of the children and families.
* Provide emotional support and guidance to children and families during contact sessions.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
* Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
