An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate SEND professional to step into a strategic and impactful role within a highly specialist SEMH educational setting. We are recruiting on behalf of an independent provision that supports young people aged 8 - 18 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a rare opening to lead and evolve SEND provision across multiple sites, with the potential to join the Senior Leadership Team. The school offers a therapeutic, relational approach to education in a creative, rural environment - ideal for candidates who are ready to make a genuine difference.

The Role:

As SENDCo, you’ll take a central role in shaping inclusive and person-centred provision across the school community. Working closely with staff, families and professionals, you will:

* Oversee the coordination and delivery of high-quality SEND provision
* Ensure EHCPs are accurate, personalised and actively embedded in daily practice
* Lead Annual Reviews and ensure full compliance with statutory SEND requirements
* Offer CPD, advice and coaching to colleagues on inclusive, trauma-informed practice
* Manage Access Arrangements and exam support in line with JCQ guidance
* Influence whole-school development with a strong, compassionate SEND voice

Who We’re Looking For:

* Proven SEND leadership experience (ideally in SEMH or specialist settings)
* In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
* A relationship-led approach with emotional intelligence and resilience
* Strategic mindset with the ability to inspire and drive change
* A calm, organised professional who builds trust with staff, students and families
* Someone who believes every child is more than a diagnosis and deserves to be seen, heard and supported

Why Join This Provision?

* A forward-thinking and therapeutic approach to SEND
* A small, supportive and emotionally intelligent team
* Opportunities for meaningful impact across multiple sites
* Professional development in trauma-informed and inclusive education
* Competitive salary and excellent wellbeing benefits including:
o Private pension scheme
o Employee assistance programme
o Certified training and CPD
o Free on-site parking

If you’re ready to take your SEND leadership to the next level in a role that changes lives, we want to hear from you!
