This role is vital in supporting children and families during challenging times, ensuring safe and positive contact in a supervised environment. As a Supervising Contact Worker, you will make sure direct supervised contact activity for children and young people in the care of Slough Children First is of a high standard in relation to effective communication with all parties. You will undertake activity and interventions as agreed by the case holding social worker. You will be able to assess, manage and deal with challenging situations and attend meetings, reviews, case conferences and court hearings directed by the social worker. For this role you will need to have experience with working in either a professional or voluntary basis with other people's children, from diverse backgrounds with particular emphasis on the more vulnerable. You will need to have experience with professional colleagues such as social workers, independent reviewing officers, schools and foster carers.
