* Resolve escalated technical issues.
* Install and configure research software using automation tools.
* Support good practice in data handling and security.
* Help document requirements, applications, and contribute to the maintenance of clear technical documentation and user guidance.
Qualifications
* Technically capable and motivated individual with an interest in how digital technologies support research.
* Recent postgraduate degree (e.g., computing, data science, engineering, or a data‑intensive scientific discipline) is particularly suitable.
* Broad technical skills with ability to work across different systems, tools, and research environments rather than specialise narrowly.
* Rapidly assimilate new technical knowledge and apply it effectively.
* Confident in engaging independently with researchers and colleagues beyond the immediate team.
* Enjoy troubleshooting problems, learning from existing documentation, and working directly with users to support real research needs.
* Organised, adaptable, user‑focused mindset.
* Willingness to continue developing expertise as part of a small specialist team.
