GR Employment Ltd is recruiting for a Courier Driver on behalf of one of our customers in Northampton, the Brackmills area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from customers. Shift pattern: The role will initially start with a few days per week, with the opportunity to progress into a core Monday–Friday route. The working hours are 8 AM to 6 PM (one hour unpaid break). Start and finish times may vary depending on the route and traffic. Hourly Rate: £14.25 per hour Overtime paid time and a half after 40 hours Shift Premium: Extra £2.71 per hour after 7.00 pm Saturday Premium: Extra £1.18 per hour Sunday Premium: Extra £2.20 per hour Job Responsibilities: As a Courier Driver, you will be measured on customer satisfaction and the successful completion of time-definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative of the company, you are expected to carry out all tasks with a strong customer-focused approach. You must demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet customer expectations. While you will be assigned a specific geographical route, flexibility is essential, as you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes to support business needs. You will also be responsible for scanning shipments and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met. The role requires the ability to make sound decisions and perform effectively under pressure.
