Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Part Time Band 2 Clerical Officer to work in the Catering Department at the RVI Hospital. The role requires 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 13:00.
Responsibilities
* Book goods on catering software.
* Process invoices.
* Order goods in the absence of the Head store person.
* Receive and off-ship goods and perform stock rotation.
* Fulfill requisition sheets for ward and catering staff.
* Inform management of any product changes (e.g., allergens).
* General cleaning of the stores.
* Provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support for the Catering general office.
* Undertake overall daily menu collation and provide uptake reports to kitchen staff.
* Ensure all allergens are up to date and checked regularly in line with the Trust's Allergen Policy.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and reliable individual who can demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and word processing skills, and is capable of managing a varied workload. The candidate should be familiar and confident with Microsoft Office packages. Experience working within the NHS would be advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors.
* Demonstrated ability to handle diverse responsibilities within a multidisciplinary team.
* All references from current and previous employers covering a minimum of 3 years of employment will be sought; failure to provide this may result in the application not being processed.
* Successful candidates who require a DBS for the post will be required to pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from the first month's pay.
