About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You'll get to know residents and their families, ensuring personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and positively influence your team. Your duties may involve assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, and communication with families, always with kindness.
You'll assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be working towards Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge is preferred. The essential qualities include positive energy, good record-keeping, effective time management, and a considerate, kind communication style.
