Salary: £120,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements: Substantial hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 security Deep understanding of identity protection, access control, threat detection and compliance Experience operating in complex or hybrid environments Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting and enhancing services such as Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, Defender, Purview and associated governance tools Familiarity with interpreting and responding to cloud security threats, managing incidents end to end Experience with SIEM tooling, ideally Microsoft Sentinel Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, modern authentication, and secure baseline configuration Proactive, analytical, and organized with a clear communication style Ability to manage competing priorities and produce strong documentation Responsibilities: Lead the shaping and securing of a sophisticated Microsoft 365 estate Oversee identity protection, access governance, cloud threat defense, and compliance Diagnose complex issues and conduct deep investigations Remediate threats and ensure policies, configurations, and controls are robust and resilient Collaborate closely with cyber security, infrastructure, networking, and service delivery teams Ensure new services and configurations are delivered securely and aligned with best practices Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and document secure standards Bring structure to complex environments and strengthen the organizations security foundations Technologies: Cloud Microsoft 365 Security Office 365 Backbone Support More: We are a prestigious, nationally significant scientific research organization that drives advanced and ambitious projects in the UK.
