Overview
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a Digital Media Support Officer to join the team. The role supports the communications team in creating and developing creative, innovative and engaging content for use across digital media, social media, websites and print. You will work with various services to research, prepare and develop engaging content to maximise audience engagement across digital platforms. You will provide advice and guidance on digital communications such as social media, video and audio content as well as animations for digital screens. You will also support the content delivery for council-led events.
Responsibilities
* Are youa confident communicator with creative skills?
* Do you have experience telling stories across a range of digital platforms?
* Are you proficient using a variety of graphic and video editing tools?
* Provide advice, guidance and technical support on the systems behind the social media channels the Council uses (e.g., Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite, X formerly Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
* Develop a range of content and support content delivery for council events such as Stockton International Riverside Festival, Stockton Fireworks and Stockton Sparkles.
* Collaborate with services across the Council to maximise audience engagement across digital platforms.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in digital communications and content creation for multiple platforms.
* Proficiency with graphic and video editing tools.
* Ability to provide advice and solutions on digital communications and animations for digital screens.
* Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms listed above.
