Your Mission
As the Founding Tech Lead, you’ll architect, build, and operate the full technical stack powering themiiGenie platform—from the Python/FastAPI backend and containerized microservices to Google Cloud Platform orchestration, advanced AI/ML integration, and real-time, senior-friendly mobile app experiences. You’ll set foundational best practices, champion modern DevOps, and scale tech and team capacity as we grow.
What You’ll Do
Backend Architecture and Ownership
* Design and implement the miiGenie platform in Python (FastAPI or Django), hosted on GCP/AWS.
* Ensure scalability, security, and responsive AI-driven experiences.
* Develop modular microservices, authentication/authorization, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Harness the Python AI/ML ecosystem (LangChain, Transformers, etc.) to enable next‑generation conversational AI.
Lead & Mentor the Engineering Team
* Assemble and mentor a core technical team (4–5 engineers).
* Instill a culture of ownership, quality, and fast iteration.
* Set technical standards and best practices in architecture and software development.
Champion Innovation and Delivery
* Foster a test‑and‑learn environment: advocate experimentation, use A/B testing, and drive AI model evaluation loops.
* Innovate with the team to integrate orchestration tools such as n8n and MCP into our data and AI pipeline, improving automation, scalability, and observability.
* Collaborate directly with our UK‑based founders to align technology and product vision.
About You
* 5+ years of hands‑on software development, with 2+ years leading teams or in a senior technical position.
* Expertise in Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI, Django).
* Experience architecting robust, scalable, secure cloud systems (GCP/AWS preferred).
* Proven ability building large‑scale backend infrastructure (microservices, APIs, CI/CD, authentication).
* Strong communication (in English) for technical discussions in a global team.
* Analytical, proactive, and thrive in fast‑paced environments.
Nice to Have
* Prior work on voice apps, chatbots, or conversational AI.
* Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
* Knowledge of PyTorch/Tensorflow.
* Understanding of HealthTech and data security (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
* Exposure to frontend frameworks: Flutter, React, Angular.
