Then this job is for you! We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Physiotherapist to provide senior clinical and operational leadership alongside Physiotherapists in the ever-changing Wessex adult CF service and Occupational Therapists in the wider therapy team. This post is part of the wider Therapy Services department and therefore you will have many opportunities to develop new skills and knowledge, through our in-service training. You will be part of a large department of over 300 Therapy staff including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy support staff. We run a 7-day therapy service working on weekends and Bank Holidays, on a rota basis, you will be expected to work as part of your usual working hours. You will be working alongside advanced and specialist clinicians in all areas, and will have access to regular supervision, in-service training, development, and a personal development plan. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The highly skilled and dedicated Wessex Adult Cystic Fibrosis multidisciplinary team is based within Southampton General Hospital. They are committed to delivering high quality care to over 370 adults with CF across a large geographical location. The MDT strives to develop the service and has a strong focus on research with numerous team members presenting at conferences both nationally and internationally. The friendly and experienced physiotherapy team will ensure you have excellent support with continual learning and professional development. What You’ll Do This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop clinical and managerial skills within this speciality and oversee the development of others. This post holder will be required to work off site undertaking admission prevention, individual support within homes or nearer a patient’s geographical locality. Excellent support will be given towards continual learning and professional development. You will work closely with our regional multi-professional Cystic Fibrosis team/supported by a Clinical Specialist in Cystic Fibrosis. The clinical remit involves the treatment of both acute inpatients and outpatients attending our multi-professional Cystic fibrosis clinics, working in the community, and using virtual platforms with innovative technologies to deliver patient care. As well as fulfilling all the requirements of the person specification we are looking for the following specific criteria: Relevant postgraduate respiratory/Cystic Fibrosis clinical experience A desire to develop knowledge and skills in the care of Cystic Fibrosis patients, with a wide range of pathologies and related problems including musculoskeletal problems.
