Responsibilities
* Issuing of spares to work order requirements
* Accurate cycle counting
* Maintain the re-ordering system as required and proposing changes to order points
* Communicate stock shortages in a timely manner to ensure stock levels are maintained to the agreed level
* Maintain a clean and tidy stores area
* Receive and receipt goods into the department and make sure delivery note matches purchase order, highlighting any discrepancies appropriately (carrying out corporate governance role D - Inventory, with respect to Purchase to Pay Cycle - Goods and Services)
* Despatch items for repair as and when required
* Process work orders within the department when required
* Issue relevant stock movement reports in the absence of the purchasing controller (engineering)
* Any other reasonable duties as requested
* KPIs: Safety Index Target achieved, Technical Index targets (FSQI and PQI) achieved, Stock Accuracy
* Take responsibility for, and always promote workplace organisation
* Optimise energy usage, looking at opportunities for energy reduction and carbon footprint reduction
* Actively seek to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business (e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.)
* Strives for continuous improvement
Essential Qualifications
* Attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
* Full driving licence
* Knowledge of inventory management techniques
* The ability to plan and organise own workload to best effect and to be methodical in approach
* Able to work on own initiative
* High degree of IT literacy including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems/ERP systems
* Able to produce reports and manage computer systems, being familiar with Word, Excel, and similar office applications
