Maths Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about helping students succeed in Maths?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Intervention Support Assistant to join the team at a client secondary school in Old Trafford starting in January. As a Maths Intervention Specialist, you will work closely with students who require additional support in Maths to help them improve their skills and achieve academic success.
This position will run full-time from Monday 5th January, until July 2026. Successful applicants who get on well in their school placement may be offered a permanent contract with the school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students struggling with Maths.
* Assist the Maths department in planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
* Create engaging and interactive learning resources to support student learning.
* Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized learning plans for students.
Requirements:
* A strong command of Mathematics.
* Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students.
* A patient and empathetic approach to supporting student learning.
Qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
* Relevant teaching assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
