Research Associate in Bio-Nanomaterial Development
The University of Sheffield (Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom) is seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to join an interdisciplinary research project focused on the development of advanced bio-nanomaterials. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, synthesising, and characterising bio-nanomaterials for cutting‑edge applications, potentially including biomedical, sensing, or environmental technologies. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should demonstrate a strong background in experimental research relevant to bio‑nanomaterials or related fields.
Required Expertise/Skills
* Experience in synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterials or biomaterials
* Strong laboratory and experimental research skills
* Knowledge of techniques such as microscopy, spectroscopy, or surface analysis
* Ability to analyse complex datasets and interpret results
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
* Track record of publishing in peer‑reviewed journals is desirable
Salary Details
£36,130 to £44,128 per annum (Grade 7)
